Cheyenne Whitfield is a dedicated attorney, public servant, and community advocate committed to fairness, integrity, and equal justice under the law. With over a decade of legal experience, she has built a career focused on serving individuals, families, and communities throughout Central Florida.

Cheyenne earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law. She is a member of The Florida Bar and has practiced in several areas of law, including criminal defense, immigration, probate, and civil litigation. Through her legal practice, she has represented clients from all walks of life and understands firsthand the importance of a court system that is fair, efficient, and respectful to every person who appears before it.

Cheyenne currently serves as a Guardian ad Litem Attorney, advocating for the best interests of vulnerable children in the dependency court system. In this role, she works to ensure that children in difficult circumstances have a voice in court and that their safety and well-being remain the court’s highest priority.

In 2025, Cheyenne served as a Traffic Hearing Officer for the Tenth Judicial Circuit, where she presided over traffic hearings and applied Florida law fairly and impartially. This experience strengthened her judicial temperament and reinforced her commitment to upholding the law while treating every individual with dignity and respect.

Cheyenne has also performed municipal legal work for the City of Dundee in Polk County under the Law Office of Markeishia L. Smith, gaining experience in municipal and local government matters that impact communities throughout the Tenth Judicial Circuit.

Beyond the courtroom, Cheyenne is a small business owner and active member of the community. She understands the challenges faced by working families and believes the justice system should be accessible, transparent, and understandable to the public it serves.
